Biography
John Mueller’s legal practice and experience spans many areas of civil law. His primary focus has been on representation of businesses of all sizes, both for-profit and nonprofit, across the many practice areas encountered by these clients. He represents individuals in personal and business matters, family law disputes and real estate transactions.

Mr. Mueller represents business entities in choice of entity, contracts, capitalization, loan applications, acquisitions, sales of businesses, employment agreements, and succession planning.
Mr. Mueller has also represented local, regional, and national business clients as they develop and implement fair employment practices, defend those practices in various forums, and resolve employment problems and issues at employer workplaces.
Mr. Mueller works with individuals and families in matters relating to wealth management, durable powers of attorney, advance directives, estate planning, guardianships, and conservatorships. He represents clients in the preparation of trusts and wills, and in the transfer of wealth from generation to generation; he provides representation for legal representatives and those serving under durable powers of attorney in managing the affairs of others.
Mr. Mueller represents clients in tax planning, tax disputes, and issues concerning tax-exempt entities.
Mr. Mueller represents farmers and ranchers in the acquisition and development of their enterprises and lands, and in land use, zoning, natural resources and condemnation controversies. With his extensive experience with these matters, he has been elected to serve, and is currently serving as, the President of the Board of Supervisors of the Atherton Levee District, an instrumentality of government, which manages, maintains and improves a federally constructed levee, extending over 12 miles in Jackson County, Missouri.
