Debbie is an experienced litigator who has represented corporations in civil actions for over 30 years. She has developed a pragmatic approach by successfully working with her clients to consider all aspects of high stakes litigation in order to obtain the best results.
She has handled numerous global mass tort and MDL matters and served as national counsel for several Fortune 500 companies. She has experience in toxic torts, commercial litigation, premises liability, construction law, personal injury, and products liability. She has coordinated litigation, media relations, and strategy with criminal, insurance coverage, compliance, and shareholder derivative suits.
Debbie has spent the majority of her career defending medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Among other products, she has defended makers of breast implants, vaccines, implantable cardiac defibrillators and pacemakers, contrast dye used in MRI, pelvic mesh, wheelchairs and implantable birth control.
Debbie is a creative problem solver. She has favorably resolved thousands of cases through formal and informal mediation.
She has also provided pre-litigation counseling and in-house training to her clients. In addition, she has worked with clients on non-litigation matters including, developing procedures to limit exposure, regulatory submissions, advising on employment matters and developing product warnings. She has assisted in creating reports and presentations to Boards of Directors, Attorneys General and General Counsel. She has also worked with lobbyists.
Debbie clerked for the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has argued several appellate matters in both federal and state court.
Debbie has been recognized on the Benchmark list of top female litigators in the country.
