McDowell Rice is proud to support organizations that make a lasting difference in our community.

Attorney Ania Wlodek Moncrief has volunteered with the Independence Youth Court since she was in the eighth grade—a program she credits with inspiring her to become a lawyer. Today, she serves on the organization’s Executive Board, helping guide a program that gives first- and second-time juvenile offenders the opportunity to learn accountability, responsibility, and better decision-making through a peer-led diversion court.

On Sunday, August 16, Independence Youth Court will host its annual Lunar Bowl Fundraiser in Blue Springs. The event helps support this important program while bringing together volunteers, families, and community members for an afternoon of bowling, a silent auction, and raffle.

We’re grateful for Ania’s continued dedication to mentoring young people and investing in brighter futures throughout our community.
