McDowell Rice is pleased to welcome our newest attorney, Dyanna Ballou, to our firm. Dyanna is a first-chair trial attorney with jury trials in state and federal courts across the country.  Her practice has included the defense of product liability, premises liability, insurance defense, construction defect, and commercial matters involving asbestos, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, aviation, tobacco, food products and many others. 

In 2023, we welcomed Ariel Rhines to McDowell Rice. Ariel Rhines practices in McDowell Rice’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, with a focus on construction and architecture/engineering law and product liability. 

Andrew Zarda joined McDowell Rice in 2023. He represents clients nationwide with respect to real estate, corporate, financing and other business transactions. 

Mr. Zarda also provides general counsel services for several mid-size Kansas City based companies and offers legal advice on general business operations and transactions, ownership structuring and restructuring, employment matters, merger and acquisition transactions and the sale of the business.
