Michael J. Kelly

Mike Kelly is a member of the firm’s Construction & Architect/Engineer Law practice group, and the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group. He brings with him extensive experience in the areas of general civil litigation, professional liability, malpractice, and FELA claims.
Along with his practice at McDowell Rice, Mr. Kelly was elected as the Mayor of Roeland Park, KS and will begin his civic service in January, 2018. Roeland Park is a first ring suburb of Kansas City, located just two miles west of the firm’s Kansas City office.
Mr. Kelly obtained his J.D. and Advocacy Certificate in 2011 from The University of Kansas School of Law where he was a member of the Jessup International Moot Court Team. He was the Vice President of the St. Thomas More Society, and also received the Kansas Association for Justice Advocacy Award.
